Welcome to katyandrew.com the official website of Katy and Andrew McGuire (aka The Snodwires). And now plus two... Stella Reese and Kelsey Grace.

THANK YOU!
To all those that have helped us in this exciting yet challenging time. Especially those that have brought us food. We’re still trying to get out all of the thank-you-notes out... it’s a bit overwhelming how awesome all of you have been to us -- and even harder to find time to get the cards out.
Stella and Kelsey careers are blowing up.

Being baby celebrities has come pretty easy to Stella and Kelsey. Their first gig was a flashback scene for ABC’s “No Ordinary Family” where Stella was baby JJ. Since then, the girls have worked over 30 days on set of various TV shows as well as a movie and TV commercial. See credit list below.

Initially we were a little sketchy towards the idea of our girls getting into Hollyweird as we certainly don’t want the mess that is the Olsen Twins or Lindsey Lohan. But we found that as babies they don’t act... they’re just themselves playing, eating, or being held. Plus there are rules to protect them, teachers, and trailers. So we figure before they know better (or have to act in character) it would be a great opportunity to start saving for college.

So far they’ve just earned some book and laundry money, but there is opportunity to make big trust fund deposits with TV commercial and film work.

Aside from saving for college, the best part is meeting new people... and yes, sometimes they happen to be “famous” people. Pretty much everyone on set is super cool. Maybe because we’re with babies. I mean who’d be a jerk to babies or parents of twins?

RAISING HOPE
They have a regular gig FOX’s “Raising Hope” as the “back up babies”. A set of identical twins plays “Hope” and Kelsey and Stella are used for wide shots or in the case that the other girls get sick or too cranky.

Most days on set are like days at home. The ladies hang out with mom, read stories, play with games, nap and eat. It’s required to have an adult per kid, so Andrew comes days when he can get off work but mostly Katy goes with a friend and usually that’s Anna (a super cool friend that the girls love to party with!). The show is filmed an hour to two hour drive away from home, so each day is a long day.

CRIMINAL MINDS
They recently did an episode for a spin-off of CBS’s popular “Criminal Minds” called “Criminal Minds Suspect Behavior”. Staring Janeane Garofalo, Forest Whitaker and Michael Kelly. Two days of filming and they’ll be in three scenes. The episode is about moms of babies being kidnapped. The series should be on later this fall or early winter on CBS. We were able to get photos with Janeane Garofalo and Michael Kelly.

THE OFFICE
One of the coolest shows they’ve worked on, but sadly one that they didn’t make it on screen. They worked two days and got to meet and hang with some of the cast. Pretty much everyone but Steve Carell was there. Katy had nice chats with B.J. Novak and Angela Kinsey. They all look and act like the do on The Office as seen in HD.

THE HANGOVER 2
The girls first movie! Not a movie that the girls will be allowed to see until they’re in college when we can tell them that it helped pay for college. It’s the sequel to the hugely popular low-brow Vegas comedy. Stella made it on to a scene at the IHOP where she plays the baby of Phil played by Bradley Cooper. She should get some screen time, and possible a good close up shot as she did great!

CHEVY
The girls first TV commercials were not Lexus commercials, but for Chevy pickups. Last weekend we did two days of filming on location for three national TV spots starring Craig Robinson from The Office and Patrick Warburton from Rules of Engagement. The girls were playing the part of a Ford pickup. Long hard working days in the hot heat of Palmdale but lots of fun. The actors and crew were super cool to us and the girls. Patrick Warburton shared his trailer with us as our arrangements were off set and too hot. Look for these spots to air later this fall.

Even in LA where it’s actually warmer in the fall than summer and the trees don’t really change. We do however, have pumpkins. Katy made the girls matching pumpkin costumes. So we headed to the pumpkin lot with our friends Max and Felicia and their baby Alexandra to take pictures. Very adorable.

Half Birthday already. They really do grow up fast. Still pretty bald, but for giggles, we thought we’d see what they’d look like with hair like their Mommy’s. Pretty cute, even with a comb-over.

They are so full of energy, joy and life. And of course, they’re adorable.

A common question we continue to get is “do they have different personalities yet?”. Short answer is an emphatic yes. They always have. They came out of the womb very different and continue to be. Of course people are quick to want to peg them asking “which one is the trouble maker?” or “she’s the happy one” and whatnot. Truth is they’re both the happy ones and neither had been much of any trouble... yet.

It’s a pretty humbling day. I am so very blessed to be celebrating this time with my beautiful wife and daughters. Katy showered my with gifts and a wonderful steak dinner after a nice day as a family at the Santa Monica Farmer’s Market. It was wonderful.

A year ago, it was Father’s Day that we first told our parents that we were expecting... and expecting twins. It was a very memorable skpe call.
